A 'take action' discount is for when you want your customers to know they could get a discount if they take an action. Examples are signing up for your newsletter, becoming a member, or subscribing.

We will show the take action discount to your customers if they haven't taken action yet and they haven't qualified for a larger discount.

The link and javascript discount text types are useful when you want your users to take action to get a discount, such as signing up for your email newsletter or as a special member.

You can use these special types to link to your conversion page or execute code.

If you don't need your users to take special action to get a discount, then you can just select 'Plain text'.

Preview mode lets you deploy Discount Obvious and test it with a magic URL before making it public to your users.

It does this by only running Discount Obvious if the dopreview url parameter is present. For example, the preview mode URL for this page is this link, use it to toggle preview mode on and off.

Using Preview mode, you can test on any page and you can safely deploy to any environment. When you're ready to exit internal QA, remember to uncheck this box.
